Bio from Paper Republic

The story we've chosen for this month's bookclub is 'That Damn Thing She Said' (一句该死的话), translated by Nicky Harman. It's the story of a one night stand and a complex balance of power. You can read the Chinese here.

The story, originally translated for Pathlight magazine, was featured in week 38 of the Read Paper Republic project. It is also one of the stories we'll be discussing at our event on March 19th, where we'll be welcoming four Paper Republic translators to Leeds for some 'speed bookclubbing'! Please see our events page, where you can find more information, and download all four of the featured stories (as well as a cheat-sheet, in case time is short!)
