Zoigê
The caws of the crows of Zoigê tile the snow in black
The people sheltering under you
are meek and timid as snowflakes
Every monk is a lamp lit by the monastery for the land
Bleary dawn wakes in its tattered cotton jacket
and the poor clouds scatter like sheep
This is when the gloom weighs heaviest on us
