Emmanuel Centre, SR 11, University of Leeds

For the second in our Centre’s Research Salon series this year, we’re delighted to welcome Professor Jonathan Stalling. Professor Stalling, who is the Harold & Ruth Newman Chair of US-China Issues and Curator of the Chinese Literature Translation Archive at Oklahoma, will give a virtual tour of the archive and discuss how archival research in this field is contributing to a rethinking the field of Chinese-English translation studies.

Prof Stalling is also the Editor in Chief of Chinese Literature and Thought Today, and inventor of the English Jueju genre, (on which he is running a separate workshop here, later in the afternoon – see poster/website for details).
