Poetry, a Conversation: China and the UK

We're pleased to be supporting this poetry event, with The University of Leeds Poetry Centre, Stand magazine, The Leeds Centre for Translation Studies, and the Leeds Business Confucius Institute.
The event will be a symposium consisting of readings and discussions on poetry – including translation - by poets from China and the UK, including poets of Chinese heritage from Singapore and the UK
Poets include: Simon Armitage, Malika Booker, Kimberly Campanello, Ian Duhig, Zafar Kunial, Madeleine Lee, Li Yuansheng, Lu Ye, Helen Mort, Na Ye, Jennifer Lee Tsai, Wang Jiaxin, John Whale, Eleanor Wong, Yu Hai-Sui, Yang Biwei, Yang Ke, Jay G. Ying, Zhang Jiawei
The whole event is open and admission is free, but please register on Eventbrite.
A full programme will be available shortly, with details of the talks. Readings will take place as follows: 18 September 7.45 -9.30 (Workshop Theatre); 19 September 11.15-1.00 (Lecture Theatre, Clothworkers South).
The venue is opposite the Student Union, where food and refreshments are available.
