Writing Chinese is proud to support the launch of the UK Chinese Writers Network, run by Mary Cooper and funded by the UK Arts Council.

Bi’an – the other shore –  is a new network set up to connect, develop, and promote Chinese heritage writers across the UK. Whether you’re beginning, emerging, or established; whether you write fiction, life-writing, poetry, or script – if you’re a Chinese heritage writer, this is the network for you.

The Bi’an Launch on April 29th at The Leeds Library is the first of four events in 2018 which will combine panel discussion, writing workshops, and networking. Guest speakers will be Papergang Theatre’s Simon Ly, poet Jennifer Wong, and novelist Yan Ge.
