We will be holding a special event for the launch of the Leeds Centre for New Chinese Writing on July 16th. The Writing Chinese project has been running for four years now, and we hope that this development will help us to expand and to sustain our work into the future!

To help us celebrate our launch, we’re delighted to be joined by prolific author Zhang Xinxin and acclaimed translator Helen Wang. Xinxin will be giving a talk entitled ‘My Chinese Writing’, and there will be readings of her work in Chinese and English, followed by a discussion and audience Q&A.

The event will be run in conjunction with International Writers at Leeds.

Information on finding the Michael Marks Building can be found here.

There will be a bookstall from Blackwells Books, and drinks and nibbles will be provided.

The event is free, but please register your attendance on our Eventbrite page.
