Date
Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 May, 2023, Saturday-Sunday
Location
Weetwood Hall Hotel and Conference Centre

The 3rd in our series of residential weekends for our Book Review Network focuses on Chinese crime fiction from around the world. The four books which will be read and discussed (with reviews coming later) are: Love and Murder in the Time of Covid, by Qiu Xiaolong; The Borrowed, by Chan Ho-kei, translated by Jeremy Tiang; Cocoon, by Zhang Yueran, also translated by Jeremy Tiang, and Ghost Town, by Kevin Chen, translated by Darryl Sterk.

We're delighted to be joined in Leeds by Qiu Xiaolong, Zhang Yueran, and Jeremy Tiang, and Kevin Chen will also be joining us remotely from New York. We're also lucky to have Professor Jeffrey Kinkley at the event, to discuss his work on crime fiction, and Michelle Deeter, who'll be talking about her translation of crime authors including our current author of the month, Chen Zijin.
